Adam Ritt
PRESIDENT
Adam Ritt joined HOY Construction in 1992 as a Project Manager and was promoted to Vice President in 1996.
With more than three decades of experience, Adam plays a key role in building long-term client relationships and guiding project teams through successful outcomes from preconstruction through closeout.
Adam’s approach centers on collaboration and trust—working closely with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to align scope, budget, and schedule early in the process. His technical expertise includes project delivery strategy, preconstruction planning, cost control, constructability review, and risk management.
Prior to joining HOY, Adam served as a Construction Manager for a national real estate development firm, overseeing its Northern Virginia operations. Earlier roles as a Project Engineer, Office Engineer, and Project Coordinator provided a strong foundation in both field operations and project controls.
As a leader in HOY Construction’s 100% employee-owned (ESOP) culture, Adam is deeply invested in mentoring teams, fostering accountability, and delivering lasting value for clients. He believes HOY’s ownership structure strengthens partnerships by aligning every employee-owner with the success of each project and the satisfaction of every client.
Adam is also committed to community involvement and service. He has served on the Boards of The Youth Service Club of Virginia Beach—where he has served as treasurer and president—the Boys & Girls Club of South Hampton Roads as treasurer, and TowneBank. He is also a member of Hampton Roads Association Commercial Real Estate.
