JEFF KNOWLES
Jeff Knowles
CHAIRMAN
Jeff joined HOY Construction in January 1988 as a project manager and became Vice President in 1996. In 2014 he became the fourth President in the company's eighty-one year history.
Prior to joining HOY, Jeff was a project manager for a local architectural firm and is a licensed architect in the state of Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech in 1982.
Jeff has managed all aspects of project management in most use groups during his forty-three years in the construction industry. He has also been instrumental in assisting in the management of the company's Employee Stock Ownership program and its investment group. As an Architect, he enjoys working on projects as part of the development team from inception through construction.
He is a past member of the American Institute of Architects and the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries. He served as President for the D'Art Center and the Builders and Contractors Exchange and as a member of The Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE) and Virginia Beach Visions.
